Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kulusuk

Today, you'll kick things off by meeting your lead guide and checking our gear. We'll discuss our detailed itinerary, taking into account the sea ice and current conditions.

But that's not all! We'll also get the chance to explore the charming Kulusuk village and come together for a dinner at our home base in Kulusuk.

Rest easy tonight at the comfortable Hotel Kulusuk, as we gear up for the incredible experiences that lie ahead.

Day 2-4: Apusiaajik Island

We'll start by packing our backpacks and gear in the morning and hopping on a boat to Apusiaajik Island. This arctic island will be our home for the next three days.

We'll be staying in a hut on the island, and from there, we'll go on daytrips to explore the breathtaking surroundings. Since we'll be traveling light, our backpacks won't weigh us down, and this will make sure we're getting prepared for the next part of our expedition.

We'll have the chance to hike on a glacier and even discover an incredible ice cave. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can even try your hand at ice climbing on the way to the cave.

At night, we'll retreat to our cabin and have the opportunity to try our luck at fishing. Imagine catching your own fresh dinner – we might even have a mouthwatering arctic char BBQ!

Going on the glacier will not only be a thrilling experience, but it will also help us get familiar with all the necessary gear, like crampons and harnesses. We'll learn how to work as a team and stay safe while traveling on the snow-covered parts of the glacier. Overnights in hut.

Day 5-8: Exploring East Greenland

Our day begins with a pick-up from our hut, as we prepare to change locations and have our food supplies replenished.

The middle of our expedition presents the greatest challenge, as we shoulder the weight of heavy backpacks filled with gear and enough food to sustain us for four days. But it is during this stretch that the most memorable moments await us.

During the next days we will explore all types of terrain, from rocky paths to snowy slopes and icy surfaces. Each day will bring new and exciting hiking opportunities.

Our nights will be spent camping in expedition tents in untouched areas, and our meals will consist of convenient expedition dry-food. We will also have the opportunity to traverse snow-covered glaciers in a rope team, a truly exhilarating experience.

To top it all off, we will conquer one or two un-named peaks, taking in breathtaking views from the summit. Overnights in expedition tents.

Day 9-10: Exploring East Greenland

We will be relocating for the final time to a campsite near our next boat drop-off point, creating a convenient and comfortable base camp for the last leg of our expedition.
The main focus this time will be on reaching one of the incredible summits in East Greenland. With our campsite providing a secure and supportive base, we will embark on day trips to conquer our chosen summit or exploring one of the outlet glaciers of the Greenland ice cap. Overnights in expedition tents.

Day 11: Back to Iceland

After your incredible adventure, prepare to soar back to Iceland.
