Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Keflavik

The excitement begins as tomorrow you embark on your adventure towards the north. Your preparations will include an overnight stay at a nearby hotel in Keflavik, potentially the Marriot KEF or something akin, which is conveniently situated close to the Keflavik International Airport. This location will serve as our rendezvous spot, marking the beginning of our journey together.

Day 2: Reykjavik - Scoresbysund

Embark on an extraordinary adventure with MV Vikingfjord in Greenland. Your voyage commences with an exclusive charter flight from Reykjavik, Iceland, landing you at the secluded airstrip of Constable Point nestled within Scoresby Sund. As you touch down, the welcoming crew of MV Vikingfjord will be there to greet you, escorting you to the ship via a thrilling Zodiac ride. Once onboard, the captain will ensure your safety with a comprehensive briefing. Then, brace yourself to sail into the awe-inspiring wilderness of Greenland for an experience that promises to be truly unforgettable!

Day 3-5: Exploring Scoresby Sund

Viking Bay & Danmark Island
Set sail on an awe-inspiring voyage along the Volquart Boons Coast in Greenland, where a stunning panorama of successive glaciers will unfold before your eyes. As you navigate westward, you'll encounter the magnificent basalt formations of Viking Bay. Here, you can embark on a Zodiac cruise at the base of these majestic cliffs for an up-close experience.

Just around the corner, Danmark Ø presents a window into the ancient Inuit way of life with its well-preserved archaeological remnants of seasonal dwellings. Venture closer to the expansive glacier front and step ashore for a guided hike to fully appreciate the grandeur of Greenland's natural beauty.

Day 5-8: Exploring Scoresby Sund

Røde Fjord & Hare Fjord
While steering through a labyrinth of colossal icebergs, you'll be presented with the chance to delve into some of the lesser-known corners of the fjord system, encompassing areas like Røde Fjord and Hare Fjord. Fortune may even favor you with a visit to Røde Ø, also known as the Red Island, renowned for its dramatic red sandstone formations that echo the Martian landscape.

Ø Fjord & Sydkap
Experience the breathtaking Ø Fjord, one of the globe's most magnificent fjords. This expansive 74 km waterway is enveloped by lofty mountains and serene waters teeming with enormous icebergs. As you journey through Scoresby Sund, the sight of these ice behemoths, some tethered to the ocean floor, will captivate your senses, creating an ethereal and almost alien-like ambiance.

Day 9: Ittoqqortoormiit & flight back to Iceland

Before we conclude our voyage, we'll make a stop at the secluded Ittoqqortoormiit settlement. This tiny community, home to just 400 Greenlandic inhabitants, is encircled by sea ice for a significant part of the year, offering a truly distinct experience. As our expedition draws to an end, our team will escort you to the airstrip for a charter flight that will take you back to Iceland.
Your expedition concludes with a comfortable overnight stay at a hotel in Keflavik (Marriot KEF or similar). This arrangement allows room for any potential flight delays due to weather, ensuring a seamless and worry-free end to your journey.
